(What is well-being?)

The World Health Organisation (WHO) advises that mental health is refined as a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to her or his Community.

The positive dimension of mental health is stressed in WHO's definition of health as contained in its constitution. ''Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.''

Well-being will assist us to overcome the difficulties of life and encourage us to achieve what we want out of life. Past experiences, trauma, near death, or specific events can trigger our emotions in a negative way and reduce our vibration levels to low which can then attract maladies.  Therefore drawing out that negative energy and refuelling with positive  is of course vital for us to move forward and strive.  Being in a state of ''happiness'' might sound weird to some but in fact it is once again part of the well-being tree.   Basically, I look at it as a Tree, The Tree of Life. The trunk is the trauma, the branches are the reactions, the leaves are the negative thoughts that require clearing and nurturing. Then the bud will start to appear and form and finally the beautiful flower shall flourish.  Visualise it, I do all the time.  Well-being is not a quick fix it is a way of life and should be part of your daily routine.

The time has come to look after yourself. We often forget to look after ourselves and then of course our batteries run low and at times need to be recharged but occasionally they become completely drained.
